The Central European Subgroup of the Geoscience Information Consortium (CE-GIC) has formed up with currently six member states – Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. The key issues of the CE-GIC subgroup are the cooperation, mutual support and exchange of experience regarding spatial data infrastructure, data management and development of geoscience information systems. Within that ‘small-scale’ geoscience information group, we hope to attain more efficiency to deal with several challenges concerning geoscience information.

The CE-GIC was established 2015 with intended purpose similar to the NordicGIC subgroup [1]

Our first successful constituent meeting took place in Budapest from 23.-24.06.2015 at the MFGI --> Budapest_2015_MFGI.
